Hi there, I’m Lariannie but you can call me Lari.

I’m a therapist with a focus on trauma resolution, disordered eating recovery, and nervous system regulation for sensitive people like myself. I help support humans in reconnecting back to their bodies and their innate wisdom. Safety, self-empowerment, and a strong therapeutic relationship are my three priorities.

But, I am a human first, a therapist second. As a human, I have experienced my own trauma and life challenges. I understand what is like to feel stuck, disconnected, at war with your body, engaging in behaviors and patterns that may feel never-ending. This understanding helps me show up as a therapist with compassion and empathy.

In my professional journey, I've come to understand that our bodies possess remarkable wisdom; all we need to do is pause and listen. I've recognized that we have various parts that emerge to protect us, and they seek our compassion, not our judgment. I believe we are not problems to be fixed, but individuals with meaningful stories that deserve to be heard.

I understand that meeting a new therapist can be scary, sharing your story (again) can be exhausting, and thoughts of “What will be different this time?” are valid. If you feel open to doing so, I invite you to chat with me and see if we are a good match. Let’s collaborate in moving from a place of feeling stuck to a place of hope and possibility.

What makes me different?

What makes me different? 〰️

I Integrate somatic, IFS and embodiment skills that take our session beyond talk therapy and into the body.

I can relate. I’ve been on the other side of the therapist's chair myself. This personal journey is one of the reasons I chose to become a therapist. It allows me to connect with you on a more meaningful level, bringing empathy and curiosity into our work together. When appropriate, I might share elements of my own experience to add authenticity and vulnerability to our sessions, fostering a deeper and more genuine connection in which you feel seen.

I bring authenticity to our sessions by offering feedback that is both compassionate and honest. I’m not just a blank slate; I’m a genuine, expressive person who communicates in straightforward, accessible language. My approach is flexible and tailored to your needs, ensuring that our work together is truly focused on tending to your parts.

I love dancing, the ocean, sunsets, painting, the smell of books, butterflies, warm hugs, and the feeling of sand under my feet. On the weekends you’ll find me thrifting and putting fun outfits together, shopping at a farmers’ market, tending to all my plants who I consider my children, and reading fiction. I feel deeply, I LOVE love, I don’t always say the right things, sometimes I overthink, I practice what I preach as a therapist, and I continue to remain open to my own growth process.
